Multiple international sources are reporting on the Dalai Lama’s advice regarding the topic of refugees to Europe. At a press conference in Malmö, Sweden yesterday, the 83-year old Dalai Lama, said: “I think Europe belongs to the Europeans.” The Dalai Lama said it was good for nations to help “a refugee really facing danger against their life.”
But 1989 Nobel Peace Prize winner added that refugees must “return to their homelands and rebuild them . . . they should develop their own country."
His Holiness was speaking in Sweden just three days after the so-called far-right populist party, Sweden Democrats, made significant gains in the general election on Sunday.
