Screen Shot 2018 08 31 at 9.44.21 PM#Unity4J announces its 4th online vigil in support of Julian Assange and WikiLeaks on Saturday, September 1 starting at 10am Eastern, 7am Pacific (2pm UTC).

This fourth vigil, led by Joe Lauria, Editor in Chief of Consortium News, is organized as a “daisy-chain style digital relay”—consisting of twenty-four vigil participants (journalists and activists), each speaking for 30-minutes and then introducing the next speaker.

#Unity4J seeks to remind the audience of “the urgent and pressing need to promote solidarity for Julian Assange, WikiLeaks, press freedom and human rights.”

#Unity4J has registered “over 150 million impressions on Twitter, and the last online vigil drew in over 220,000 viewers on Periscope.”

On Sunday, September 2, Unity4J Day will support Assange by way of an “online non-violent digital army . . . originating from all four corners of the globe.” The organizers are seeking “to turn online support into real world action.”

See the Unity4J Day event live at: http://unity4j.com/stream. The Unity4J website can be found at http://unity4j.com/ and the official Twitter is @Unity4J.

Screen Shot 2018 08 31 at 8.50.52 AMAt a rally in Evansville, Indiana last night, President Trump was surrounded by a diverse array of 15,000 enthusiastic and devoted supporters—hard hats holding “PROMISES MADE PROMISES KEPT” signs, a woman wearing a “PRAY” T-shirt, teenagers wearing TRUMP 2020 T-shirts--men, women, couples, kids.

They came to see the great man and hear what he had to say. Speaking to the decline of the Democrat Party, Trump said that it “is held hostage by left-wing haters, angry mobs, deep state radicals, establishment cronies, and their fake news allies,” as he pointed at the press. He said: “Our biggest obstacle and [the Democrat Party’s] biggest ally is the media—if you can believe it.”

Trump easily segued into the crimes of Hillary Clinton saying: “Look what she is getting away with. But let’s see if she gets away with it . . . I want the DOJ and the FBI to do their jobs.”

Screen Shot 2018 08 30 at 7.55.55 AMIdentity politics has now infiltrated even the honoring of the dead.

According to Joel B. Pollak of Breitbart, “McCain fundraiser Carla Eudy confirmed to People that Palin had not been invited” to Senator McCain's funeral. Sara Palin, former Governor of Alaska and former running mate of John McCain in the 2008 presidential campaign, now joins President Donald Trump on the list of those barred.

Upon hearing of McCain’s passing, Palin eulogized: “Today we lost an American original. Sen. John McCain was a maverick and a fighter, never afraid to stand for his beliefs. John never took the easy path in life--and through sacrifice and suffering he inspired others to serve something greater than self."

Is John Huber Part of the Stall?

Screen Shot 2018 08 30 at 1.37.31 PMMultiple sources are now questioning the procecutorial veracity of John Huber, US Attorney and Obama holdover. For example, Victoria Toensing, Former Assistant US Attorney, in a recent interview with Lou Dobbs on Fox Business, described Huber's investigation as a "Potemkin Village." Nine months into the investigation, Huber charged with investigation of FISA abuse, has yet to interview, or even contact, Bruce and Nellie Ohr, Toensing said.

Toensing pointed out that the DOJ has suspiciously called Huber's work "an evaluation" rather than "an investigation," similar to the sleight of hand used in calling the Hillary Clinton email investigation a mere "matter."

Dobbs referred to yet "another blunder" of Jeff Sessions, namely appointing Huber to investigate FISA abuse and Uranium One.

Toensing ended the interview describing the current US justice system as “topsy-turvy”: investigating collusion that wasn’t there and not investigating collusion that was clearly there.

Screen Shot 2018 08 29 at 8.37.05 AMIn “The Other Side of John McCain,” award-winning journalist and author Max Blumenthal provides a counterargument to the “hagiographies" that are "pouring forth from the Beltway press corps” and the “diverse cast of political climbers” about John McCain.

Blumenthal describes McCain as one of the “few figures in recent American life who dedicated themselves so personally to the perpetuation of war and empire.” He acknowledges “the millions of dead” as a result of McCain’s interference in Libya, Syria, and the Ukraine.

He adds that McCain “wrested as much resources as he could from the American taxpayer to maximize [the terrorists’] mayhem” and ends the article hoping that “the societies shattered by McCain’s proxies will someday rest in peace.”
